Tour Edge was founded in 1968 by David Glod, a former golf pro who set out to change consumer perception of the golf industry by providing a truly high quality product at an affordable price. Headquartered in suburban Chicago, Illinois, this company has grown exponentially since its inception, doubling sales every year through the early 1990’s by developing and offering clubs with superior performance and value pricing. Today Tour Edge is one of the fastest growing manufacturers, and in 1996 made the list of the Top 40 manufacturers in Golf Pro Magazine.

The clubhead combines a titanium cupface brazed to a heavier steel body to move weight farther back in the clubhead, producing a lower spin rate and a penetrating launch angle. The face design combines multiple levels of face thickness designed to enhance ballspeed on center and off-center hits. Graphite plies are weaved around the inside and outside of the tip of the Aldila RIP 70 Sigma shaft, which is designed to increase tip stiffness for greater shaft stability and consistency.
"When you talk about sound and feel, this one has both of those in large quantities. Perhaps the most solid-feeling fairway wood I’ve hit. You just feel like you’re crunching it."
"It has the perfect look—square to slightly open with no offset. The impact felt hot—balls just went and went."
The all-black, sleek, compact clubhead exudes a stealth attitude that any mid- to low-handicapper will appreciate, but once again it's the face and brazing technology that makes this head uniquely innovative.
Geared to better players by loft selection. And pocketbooks, too.
