Based in Carlsbad California as part of the Callaway Golf Company, the Odyssey brand of putters first entered the scene in 1990 and has been bringing new product innovations ever since. The idea here is to deliver the feel of a firm-face putter with a slight dampening effect from the urethane layer that's positioned behind the aluminum face. Oval-shape dimples in the face are meant to create friction with the ball at impact and help reduce skidding. The lightweight face pushes weight toward the perimeter, increasing forgiveness.
