• The TPS line from PowerBilt is the Brand’s Premium offering
• The TPS 8.0 version’s defining design characteristic is the combination of a deep “undercut channel cavity” with added composite material technology
• The undercut channel in the cavity pushes the weight lower and further behind the club face. (similar to PowrBilt’s well known, once signature, back weighted woods)
• The CG (center of gravity) located lower and further behind the sweetspot increases the dynamic loft (loft at impact) to help shots travel higher and farther
• A composite wafer installed in the upper back cavity replaces heavier stainless steel – this allows the reallocation of the replaced weight to the club head’s perimeter, increasing even further the benefits of perimeter weighting and resistance to club head twisting on off center hits
• Stronger static lofts, higher dynamic lofts and thinner club faces create longer shots wit more solid feel |

Originating in 1916 when John Hillerich, the great-grandfather of current CEO and President John Hillerich IV and founder of the Louisville Slugger company, first started making golf clubs from persimmon, the Powerbilt brand produced the finest line of persimmon woods in the golf industry. In 1934, Olin Dutra used the new PowerBilt clubs to capture the U.S. Open by one stroke over Gene Sarazen. Throughout the 1960s, 70s and 80s PowerBilt Citation Persimmon Woods were the standard by which all drivers and fairway woods were judged. During the 1980s alone, PowerBilt clubs won two-dozen events on the PGA Seniors/Champions Tour.
