The clubface’s ultra-thin titanium casting, which is lighter than the steel used in standard R11 fairways, produces 0.6 mm-thick walls and is designed to lower the crown’s weight and allow for a more rearward center of gravity. This helps to produce higher launch and more draw bias. An adjustable hosel lets golfers change the lie and loft/face angle, and an adjustable soleplate allows players to alter the club’s face angle.
"The sound, feel, trajectory was all so good. It gives a penetrating flight that really helps in the wind. Every shot feels like a good one, even when you miss it."
"A good look for most better players, the R11 gives a good crack at impact. The ball seems to come off this one faster than most of the others. It’s forgiving, too."
The titanium material, which helps make this clubhead five grams lighter than the steel R11, adds yet another layer of technology into the already-multifaceted R11 fairway wood and is geared to help players get the ball higher.
Since this fairway wood has some features that might help a wider variety of players, we’d like to see a few more loft options.
