The forged (1025 carbon steel) remake of the legendary cast design includes laser-milled microgrooves intended to create ideal surface roughness and a shaft with a less-active tip for a more penetrating ball flight.
"Soft yet solid. Pretty good greenside action."... "The best head shape so far. The camber on the sole is perfect."
"It really drove through the turf well." ... "You can feel the club compress the ball."
Wedges aren't better just because they're forged. They're better because the designers explored every opportunity (grooves, shaft, and fitting technologies) to make them better.
Couldn't one of the leaders in the wedge business expand their range of sole grinds?
