The CG Black, Cleveland’s first iron with a titanium face, continues the company’s commitment to lightweight technology. Each iron features a Lamkin Lite grip and 59-gram Miyazaki C.Kua shaft to help keep the overall weight low to maximize swing speed.
Low-Handicapper:
“This is pleasing to the eye, and the feel is terrific.”
Middle-Handicapper:
The large sole helps you get the ball off the ground without it ballooning.”
Hot:
Cleveland has been underrated for its technology in irons. It shouldn’t be. With its emphasis on reducing weight for all but the fastest swingers, the CG Black is a nifty piece of innovation that is effective for many.
Not:
The lightweight idea is fine if you prefer graphite shafts. Those wanting steel are tacking on an extra 26 grams.
