Designed for swing speeds of less than 95 miles per hour, the CG Black features Cleveland’s ultralight technology to help increase swing speed—the entire club weighs 40 to 50 grams less than a typical fairway wood. The crown is designed to improve aerodynamics.
“I’d feel very good about going for a par 5 in two with this club.” . . . “The ball launches high with low spin. Sits on the ground really nice, too.”
“In terms of turf interaction, this fairway wood acts like a hybrid; it cuts right through the turf without a glitch. Even when I hit it off the ground, it felt like I was hitting it off a tee.”
There’s no denying this lightweight design gives even the most sedentary golfer a feeling of power and control.
Aggressive swingers will overpower this shaft.
