• Cleveland Golf engineers worked closely with Miyazaki Shafts and Lamkin grips to remove weight from both the shaft and grip, reducing total club weight by 30 grams
• This lighter but balanced club produces faster clubhead speed and more ball speed from the tee or fairway
• An increase in clubhead speed up to 3mph is expected due to the decreased club weight
Based in Huntington Beach, California, Cleveland Golf is a company that enjoys a strong presence on the PGA TOUR and competitive tours worldwide. Cleveland’s staff includes players such as: 2000 Masters and 2004 PGA Champion Vijay Singh, Steve Flesch, Joe Durant, Woody Austin, David Howell, Gary Koch and many others. Well known figures in the game of golf are Dignitaries for the company and include Byron Nelson and Gary Koch. The company got its start under the leadership of namesake Roger Cleveland, who founded the company in 1979. Originally Cleveland filled a niche market producing high quality replicas of classic golf clubs from the 1940’s and 1950’s but soon became regarded as an innovative producer of original equipment in it’s own right. A defining moment in the company’s growth was its acquisition by Skis Rossignol, S.A. in 1990. Since that time, Cleveland has experienced tremendous growth and now has employees numbering over 300, a National sales force of 70 and enjoys worldwide distribution. In its growth, the company has remained steadfastly committed to providing “Tour proven, premium golf equipment to passionate golfers at prices that ensure value to consumers”

Cleveland's fairway wood line includes three 3-woods of different lofts and launch characteristics but with the same clubhead size and shaft length. Each club weighs about 30 grams less than a typical fairway wood. Weight is saved thanks to an especially lightweight Miyazaki shaft and Lamkin grip. A lighter club, Cleveland says, leads to more clubhead speed and longer distance.
"I know it's supposed to be lighter, but it doesn't feel strange to me."..."Trajectory off the tee and the turf was the same. That's a rare combination to find."
"There's not much to dislike about this club-it sounds and feels like an iron. The clubhead is exceptionally stable through impact, and it goes farther than most."..."Reminds me of the Cleveland Launcher of old."
A bold step in the direction of speed. Plus, there are three 3-woods. We especially like the easy-to-use 17-degree model.
The gold-colored shaft and slightly closed face are distracting at address.
